The results are in

I am not a great cake decorator as it turns out..... the actual cake it's self was delicious, I used my mum's birthday cake recipe, a chocolate sponge with half flour half ground almonds, however the bear that I ended up making just wasn't as I'd imagined or remembered, I do wonder whether the original cake my mum made me was as good as I remember .... For now I'll just go with yes! and all the more so for me trying and failing, a difficult one to match I think.
